Joey Toledo

Joey Toledo has worked in the social media industry since 2018. In 2018, they worked at OpTic Gaming in the role of Social Media, where they developed relevant content to reach the community through all of OpTic's social media accounts and maintained the "OpTic" brand identity. Joey also provided real-time updates for all competitive matches in all esports for OpTic Gaming through the @OpTicUpdate Twitter account, engaged with the community through Twitter, Instagram, Reddit, and Discord for OpTic related questions and scheduling times for when OpTic plays, and coordinated with graphics designer for media posts for all matches/announcements for OpTic. In 2019, they worked at NRG in the role of Social Media. From 2015 to 2018, they worked at Hennepin County in the roles of Benefits Specialist, HR Support Specialist, and HR Scope Intern. As Benefits Specialist, they audited eligibility rules for all benefits and life events to make sure they were compliant with IRS rules, entered and reviewed benefit enrollment information into the PeopleSoft/APEX system, and performed reconciliation of monthly eligibility reports and payroll reports. As HR Support Specialist, they responded to inquiries via phone, email, and in-person about HR related questions from employees or the general public, entered information for new hires from the NeoGov hiring system to PeopleSoft, and prepared all information needed for New Hires as they attended New Employee Orientation. As HR Scope Intern, they conducted job analysis interviews with hiring supervisors to create accurate and meaningful job postings in NeoGov applicant tracking system, determined criteria for screening candidates in partnership with hiring managers, and screened application materials in NeoGov to determine top candidates.

Joey Toledo attended the University of Minnesota from 2011 to 2015, where they earned a degree in Human Resource Development. Joey also obtained a Human Resources Certificate from the same institution.
