Helena Diez-y-Riega has a diverse work experience spanning across different companies and roles. Helena currently holds the position of Technical and Market Expert Director at Optica. Prior to that, they worked as a Physicist at Kratos Analytical Ltd for six years. Helena also served as a Senior Research Associate at the Institute for Shock Physics - Washington State University and as a Postdoctoral Research Associate at Washington State University. Earlier in their career, they gained experience as a Research Assistant at Baylor University, where they focused on developing sensitive spectroscopic methodologies and theoretical modeling of photochemical reactions. Helena also worked as a Teaching Assistant at Baylor University and as a Lecturer at Universidad Experimental del Sur del Lago. Additionally, they worked as a Research Assistant at University of the Andes, Venezuela and as a Junior Researcher at Centro Nacional de Calculo Cientitfico, Universidad de Los Andes.
Helena Diez-y-Riega completed a PhD in Chemistry from Baylor University in 2010. Prior to that, they obtained an M.Sc. in Fundamental Physics from Universidad de los Andes (VE) in 2003 and a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemistry from the same university in 1997.
