Phil Charnas

VP of Business Development at Optimal Biotech Group

Phil Charnas is the current VP of Business Development at Optimal Biotech Group. Prior to this, they served as President/Business Development at the same company for 13 years and 8 months. In this role, they were responsible for providing process analytical measurement for biotechnology as a manufacturers' sales representative for Mettler Toledo Ingold/Thornton products. Charnas has also worked as a Key Account Manager at Ryan Herco Flow Solutions, where they managed a territory with annual sales greater than $7 million dollars. In this role, they supported Early/Late Stage Purification during drug development using Pall Seitz depth filters, sterilizing grade filters membranes, virus filtration, tangential flow filtration and chromatography resins.

Phil Charnas received a Bachelor's of Science from the New York Institute of Technology in 1997. Phil was a member of the Nu Upsilon Tau Honor Society and received the Medical Technology Clinical Practice Award in 1997. Phil graduated cum laude with a GPA of 3.45 and was on the Dean's List. Phil also received an education from Saint John's University in 1992-1994. Phil was a member of the Sigma Chi Beta Fraternity.
