Mike Pomerantz serves as a Senior Lab Technician and Lecturer at Monroe Community College since September 2018. Additionally, Mike has held the position of Technical Lab Associate and Lecturer at the University of Rochester since January 2016, where responsibilities include maintaining and teaching the use of CNC and conventional optical fabrication equipment for the Mechanical Engineering and Optics Departments. At Optimax Systems, Inc., where employment has spanned from June 1996 to the present, Mike works in Process Engineering, focusing on lean manufacturing cell setup and spherical lens manufacturing, while also leading team efforts and authoring job traveler documents for manufacturing instructions. Mike holds an Associate of Arts and Sciences (A.A.S.) degree in Mechanical Engineering Related Technologies from Monroe Community College and a certificate in Machine Tool Technology from Wayne Technical and Career Center.
