Erlend Helgerud

Erlend Helgerud is the Chief Technology Officer at Optime Subsea since July 2019, where leadership in technology development and team management focuses on aligning projects with company strategy and innovative practices. Significant initiatives include digital hydraulics, wireless subsea communication, and ROCS 2. As an employee-elected board member, Erlend emphasized workforce representation in critical decisions related to internationalization, technology strategy, and financial matters. Previous experience as a Systems Engineer involved developing and standardizing Optime's ControlWare software for subsea systems. Erlend's educational background includes a Master of Science in Systems Engineering, a Bachelor of Engineering in Computer Engineering, and a Bachelor's degree in Sports and Exercise, all from the University of South-Eastern Norway.
