Erlend Torgnes

Erlend Torgnes has had a varied career since 2003. Erlend began their career as an Administration Assistant/Guard Detachment Lead at Their Majesty the King's Guard in 2003 and was evaluated as "very well" fit for further service in the army. In 2006, they took on roles as a Researcher and Teaching Assistant at the Center for Integrated Operations in the Petroleum Industry. In 2007, they became the Chief Financial Officer for ANSA in New Zealand. In 2008, they worked as a Summer Student at Statoil. In 2010, they became a Consultant at Poyry Management Consulting (Norway). In 2013, they co-founded Optimeering AS, where they worked on next-generation smart software for monitoring, predicting, and operating tomorrow's power production and consumption. Finally, in 2014, they co-founded Optimeering Aqua, where they led the development of software for production planning for aquaculture and worked with customers to help them get more out of their production and move towards a data and model drive approach to taking production decisions for aquaculture.

Erlend Torgnes completed their M.Sc. / Sivilingeniør in Industrial Economics and Technology Management at the Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU) between 2004 and 2009. During 2007 and 2008, they also attended The University of Auckland as an exchange student in the Department of Engineering Science.
