Scott Melhop

Scott Melhop is the Chief Technology Officer at Optimeering, having assumed the role in November 2023. Prior to this, Scott held various positions at Cognite from January 2020 to November 2023, including Engineering Manager and Principal Solution Architect. Experience at Inmeta as a Consultant occurred from September 2018 to January 2020. From November 2016 to December 2017, Scott worked as a Data Engineer at Pioneer Energy Ltd, focusing on company-wide reporting systems and asset management activities. Additionally, Scott served as a Senior Engineer (Electrical) at Renewable Power Ventures Limited in 2016 and 2017. Earlier experience includes a decade at Peak Power Services, where roles ranged from Project Manager to Electrician, specializing in power distribution. Scott earned an Honours Bachelor of Engineering in Power Systems from The University of Auckland and a National Diploma in Engineering in Electrotechnology from Wintec - Waikato Institute of Technology.
