Carissa Witham

Carissa Witham is an experienced mental health professional with a strong background in therapy and social work. Currently serving as a Mental Health Therapist at Optimist Youth Homes and Family Services since February 2021, Carissa previously held similar roles at Tarzana Treatment Centers and as an Intern Clinician at For the Future Group Home. Carissa's earlier experience includes working as a Social Worker for the CT Department of Children and Families and as a Mental Health Counselor at Wellmore Behavioral Health, where a focus on child and adolescent services, crisis intervention, and collaboration with interdisciplinary teams was integral to the roles. Educational credentials include a Master’s degree in Social Work from the University of Southern California and a Bachelor’s degree from Central Connecticut State University.
