Morgan Paden has a diverse work experience in the field of fund development and grants management. Starting from their most recent position, Morgan worked as the Development Director, Grants at Optimist Youth Homes and Family Services, where they built and managed the organization's internal grants program and secured $1.1M in new grant funding. Prior to that, Morgan was the President/Principal Writer at Morganite Writing Company, where they developed fund development strategies for BIPOC-led nonprofits and managed client acquisition and communication. They also served as the Manager of Development Communications and Grants at Marwen, where they crafted the external story of the organization and managed a calendar of grants documents and donor communications. Morgan worked as the Institutional Giving Manager at Urban Gateways, managing a grants portfolio, and as a Consultant at Los Angeles World Affairs Council & Town Hall, where they focused on events, board relations, and development. They also gained experience as a Development Intern at CASA of Los Angeles, conducting foundation research and assisting in grant proposal writing.
Morgan Paden obtained a Bachelor's Degree in Creative Writing & Sociology from the University of Southern California, completing their education in 2015. In addition, Morgan obtained a certification in Grant Writing and Administration from Parchment Inc. in July 2018.
