Kalpesh Patel, MD has worked in various roles since 2001. Kalpesh started as a Consultant Microbiologist at Sankalp Pathology Laboratory in Ahmedabad, India. Kalpesh then worked as a Tutor at B.J. Medical College, Civil Hospital in Ahmedabad, India, where they supervised the microbiology laboratory and taught microbiology to medical students. In 2002, they were a Visiting Fellow at the Tata Institute of Fundamental Research, where they provided significant understanding of malarial immunity. From 2004 to 2011, they were a Visiting Fellow at the National Institute on Aging, where they made significant contributions to the fields of effect of orexigenic and anorexigenic peptides on T-cell development, aging and immunity, and HIV therapeutics. From 2009 to 2011, they were a Post-doctoral Fellow at Johns Hopkins University, where they made significant original contributions to the field of cancer genetics, cancer drug monitoring and cancer tumor markers. In 2013, they were an Observer at Saint Agnes Hospital, where they analyzed a cholecystectomy database in Microsoft Excel. From 2016 to 2017, they were a Research Scientist and Director of the Translational Therapeutics Lab at VA Medical Center in Washington DC, where they performed big data analysis using Veterans Affairs Informatics and Computing Infrastructure (VINCI). Since 2018, they have been the Director of Cloud Applications at Optimoz, Inc.

Kalpesh Patel, MD obtained their Doctor of Medicine (M.D.) from B.J. Medical College in Ahmedabad, India between 1998 and 2002, where they studied Clinical Microbiology. Kalpesh also obtained their MBBS from B.J. Medical College between 1991 and 1998, where they studied General Medicine and Surgery. In addition, they have obtained several certifications, including the ECFMG from the Educational Commission For Foreign Medical Graduates in 2007, Certified Kubernetes Application Developer from the Cloud Native Computing Foundation in 2020, Red Hat Certified Engineer (RHCE) from Red Hat in 2020, Certified Kubernetes Administrator from the Cloud Native Computing Foundation in 2020, Red Hat Certified System Administrator (RHCSA) from Red Hat in 2019, AWS Certified Developer - Associate from Amazon Web Services in 2018, ASSOCIATE CLOUD ENGINEER from Google in 2019, and AWS Certified Solutions Architect - Associate from Amazon Web Services in 2018.
