Khanh Nguyen

Khanh Nguyen, FCIA, FSA, serves as Vice President and Appointed Actuary in the Corporate Actuarial team at Optimum Life Reinsurance in Canada since August 2010. Responsibilities include supervising the actuarial team, performing valuations for life and health insurance products, maintaining control infrastructure for valuation processes, and conducting experience studies to recommend actuarial assumptions. Additionally, Khanh implements IFRS 17, collaborates with the finance team for reporting, and ensures compliance with regulatory requirements. Previous roles at Optimum Life Reinsurance include AVP and Director positions, along with a background in business development and product development at Optimum Assurance vie and The Standard Life of Canada. Khanh holds a Bachelor’s degree in Actuarial Science from UQAM and is connected with several professional actuarial organizations.
