Katherine Atherton

Katherine Atherton, LCSW, is a seasoned mental health therapist currently working at Optimum Performance Institute since September 2022. Prior experience includes roles at Tarzana Treatment Centers, where Katherine maintained a caseload of approximately 35 clients, and contributed to The Saving Lives Project focused on suicide prevention. Previous positions also include serving as a mental health therapist at Bridge to Home, where Katherine rapidly built a client base and developed proficiency in various therapeutic modalities, and as a Success First Facilitator at Lutheran Social Services of Southern California, overseeing a case management team for at-risk youth. Katherine began the career as a Domestic Violence Advocate at Option House, Inc. Educational qualifications include a Doctor of Psychology (Psy.D) from California Southern University, a Master of Social Work (MSW) from Brandman University, and a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology from California State University-San Bernardino.
