Lisa Burger holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration and Psychology from Black Hills State University and The Ohio State University. With extensive experience in underwriting, Lisa currently serves as Associate Chief Underwriter at Optimum Life Reinsurance, having joined in January 2021. Previous roles include Director of Underwriting at Farmers Insurance, where Lisa worked from September 2017 to November 2020, and Underwriting Director at Legal & General from May 2012 to September 2017. Additional experience spans positions at MetLife, New York Life Insurance Company, Nationwide Insurance, Great American Financial Resources, and The Midland Life Insurance Co, with a focus on underwriting consultancy and senior underwriting roles. Lisa holds multiple professional designations including Certified FALU, FLMI, CLU, and ARA.
