Ryan Hughes is an accomplished business development leader with extensive experience in the technology and payments sectors. Currently serving as VP of Business Development and Innovation at Optimum since April 2024, Ryan is focused on leveraging generative AI and advanced martech solutions to enhance customer service. As a Board Member at Authvia, Ryan contributes to the development of contactless payment solutions via messaging platforms. Previously, Ryan held key roles at Samsung Electronics, including Head of Strategic Partnerships for Samsung Wallet and Head of Revenue for SamsungPay, where innovative partnerships with major financial institutions were established. In addition to experience at firms like Bardown Executive Search, Quesnay, and Softcard, Ryan's career began with a focus on new media at the National Hockey League and senior recruitment at GAAP Financial Executive Recruiters. Ryan holds a BS in Business Administration and Management from Cornell University.
