Tom Zhang

Tom Zhang, PhD, PE has extensive work experience in both academia and industry. Tom started their career as a Research Assistant and Teaching Assistant at the University of Missouri in 2010. In these roles, they gained valuable research and teaching experience until their departure in 2015.

In 2015, they joined Optimus Solutions as a Process Engineering Advisor. Tom provided guidance and expertise in process engineering until they were promoted to Lead Engineer in 2017. As a Lead Engineer, they demonstrated strong leadership skills and successfully managed projects until 2019. Tom was then promoted to Senior Engineer, where they continued to contribute to the company's business development efforts until 2022. Currently, they hold the position of Principal Engineer and continues their focus on business development at Optimus Solutions.

Throughout their career, Tom Zhang, PhD, PE has consistently displayed a strong knowledge of engineering principles and demonstrated the ability to effectively apply them in both academic and professional settings.

Tom Zhang, PhD, PE completed their education as follows:

- From 2012 to 2015, they obtained a Ph.D. in Mechanical & Aerospace Engineering from the University of Missouri-Columbia.

- From 2009 to 2011, they earned a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Missouri-Columbia.

- In 2008 to 2009, they pursued Mechanical Engineering at Auburn University.
