Mujab Popalzai

Mujab Popalzai is the Co-Founder and CEO of OptimusFox. Mujab has over eight years of experience in policy development, community outreach, project management, and marketing.

Mujab started their career as an Assistant Engineer with MM Pakistan, where they worked on a number of infrastructure development projects. Mujab then joined National Development Consultants as an Assistant Engineer in the Planning and Coordination department. In this role, they were responsible for developing project proposals, coordinating with government departments, and overseeing project execution.

In 2015, Mujab left their engineering career behind to pursue a career in marketing. Mujab worked as a Brand Marketing Consultant for Helium Marketing Services for one year before joining Punjab Education Foundation as Principal Staff Officer to the Chairman. In this role, they assisted senior management in multiple community development projects, managed media relation campaigns, and collaborated with donor agencies for implementing new policy initiatives.

Some of their key projects in this capacity included:

- Facilitated a public-private school partnership program for more than 2.4M students in approx. 10,000 schools across Punjab.

- Reduced complaint response time by 50% by suggesting a centralized application channel.

- Directed preliminary research for a major UNICEF-funded WASH project.

- Initiated a province-wide gender mainstreaming project.

- Worked on a UNHCR-funded Afghan refugee initiative.

In 2020, Mujab left Punjab Education Foundation to start OptimusFox with their business partner, Zoya Malik. OptimusFox is a social enterprise that is working

Mujab Popalzai has a Master of Business Administration (M.B.A.) from the University of Wollongong in Business Administration and Management, General. Mujab also has a Bachelor of Engineering (BE) from the National University of Computer and Emerging Sciences in Telecommunications Engineering. In addition, they have certification from Escils in Business Strategic Digital Marketing, from Harvard Business School in SUSTAINABLE BUSINESS STRATEGY, from Escils in SaaS Evaluation, from Huawei Technologies in Huawei BTS 3012 and BSC 6000, and from Huawei Technologies in Huawei Radio Network Optimization.
