Bogdan Butoi

Bogdan Butoi has extensive work experience in various leadership roles. Bogdan is currently the Co-Founder and CEO of Merlin Mobility since March 2020. Prior to that, they founded and served as CEO of BB Solutions, LLC, offering business solutions for companies of all sizes. Bogdan has also held the position of Vice President of Information Technology at OptiNose.

Bogdan's previous roles include serving as CIO/VP of IT at Therakos, Inc., where they were responsible for the IT department. Bogdan also held the position of CIO & Sr. Director at Healthtronics IT Solutions, a division of Endo Pharmaceuticals. In this role, they were involved in creating a data and software division for Endo by acquiring top EMR companies. Bogdan also had P&L responsibility for product management and created new products and services to increase revenue.

Earlier in their career, Bogdan has served as the WW Director of Sales Operations and Chief Technology Officer at Animas Corporation, where they developed software products and improved sales processes. Bogdan has also worked as a Senior Director of Technology Services at United BioSource Corporation.

Bogdan's work experience also includes roles as CIO at Animas Corporation, where they were responsible for implementing an ERP/CRM system, and as a Webmaster/Contributor at Bryn Mawr College, where they redesigned the website and created interactive web content.

Before their professional career, Bogdan owned and served as the President of Business for Business, Inc.

Bogdan Butoi pursued their education in a sequential manner. Bogdan initially attended the University POLITEHNICA of Bucharest from 1990 to 1995, where they earned a Master's degree in Electrical Engineering/Software Engineering. Bogdan then went on to study at Bryn Mawr College from 1995 to 1997, obtaining a Master's degree in Mathematics. Continuing their academic journey at Bryn Mawr College, Bogdan Butoi completed their Ph.D. in Mathematics from 1997 to 2005.
