John Maris has held a variety of roles in the past 26 years. In 1996, they were the Senior Technology Vertical Manager at Preferred Lease, where they led a team of leasing consultants and developed a channel-connection strategy to create repeat funding opportunities. Two years later, in 1998, they became the Owner and Master Instructor of Postive Karate USA, where they created a marketing strategy that maintained an average 21% year-over-year subscription growth. In 2016, they took on the role of Senior Account Executive at Corbel Solutions, LLC., where they were responsible for growing net-new and existing multi-million dollar enterprise level accounts. In 2021, they became the Sales Development Manager at Autify, where they were tasked with hiring, training, developing and coaching a sales team for a Japanese technology startup for the US market. Finally, in 2022, they founded Gennaker Revenue and also took on the role of Sales Strategy Consultant at OptiSigns Inc.

John Maris has obtained a GORUCK SELECTION FINISHER certification from GORUCK in July 2013. John is also a Paul Harris Fellow with Rotary International.
