Alexander J. Dita

Alexander J. Dita is a seasoned cybersecurity professional and technology expert with extensive experience spanning over two decades. Currently serving as a Security Advisor at Optiv since April 2023, Alexander also holds key positions as Secretary for the ISC2 Silicon Valley Chapter and Quartermaster Lead for BSidesSF, where responsibilities include vendor management and logistics. Previous roles include Communications Director for the (ISC)2 East Bay Chapter and Webmaster for Silicon Valley ISSA. Prior to these, Alexander was a Cyber Security Consultant at Functional Security, managing incident response and security assessments, and held the position of IT Solutions Director at R&B Communications, where innovative security solutions were developed for various industries. Alexander's career began with a strong focus on IT services and development, alongside a notable background in photography and filmmaking, holding a Bachelor of Fine Arts from Chapman University.
