Rod Hampton

Rod Hampton is a seasoned security professional with extensive experience in addressing cybersecurity and data privacy challenges. Currently serving as a Security Advisor at Optiv since August 2022, Rod previously held the position of Enterprise Account Executive at Rapid7, where contributions were made towards enhancing security through analytics and automation. Prior to that, Rod spent over five years at Optiv Inc as a Senior Solutions Advisor, guiding clients in selecting optimal security strategies. As a Security Manager at Delek US Holdings, Rod established a Security Operations Center following a data breach. Earlier in the career, Rod served as a Senior IT Security Administrator at Jackson National Life, creating security policies and managing vulnerability assessments. Rod's military background as an Infantryman and NCO in the US Army complements a strong educational foundation that includes a JD from Cooley Law School, a BA from The Ohio State University, and an AS from Macomb Community College, all of which fortify Rod's expertise in security management.
