Samitha Amarasiri

Samitha Amarasiri is an accomplished senior cyber security strategist and risk management advisor with extensive experience in financial services and insurance organizations. Currently serving as Managing Partner at Optiv since June 2023, Amarasiri has also been a member of the Cyber Security Board at Rutgers University since June 2018. Previous positions include Managing Director - Security and Privacy at Protiviti, Director - Cyber Security, Privacy and Risk at PwC, and Principal - Head of Analytics for Financial Services at Booz Allen Hamilton. Additionally, Amarasiri held roles such as Vice President - Global Head of Cyber Security and Technology Risk Engineering at Goldman Sachs and Executive Director at Morgan Stanley. Amarasiri's career began at Credit Suisse, serving as a Cyber Security Consultant, and spans significant contributions to architectural solutions and cyber security frameworks. Educational credentials include a Master's degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering and a Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, both from Kansas State University.
