Naaliel Mendes

Naaliel Mendes, PhD, currently serves as the Director of Engineering at Optiva Inc., leading the transformation of BSS systems to both Private and Public Cloud. Previously, Naaliel held the position of Vice President of Engineering at Optiva Inc., where effective leadership resulted in a 70% retention rate during a departmental rebuild within six weeks. Naaliel has also held significant roles at IBM, including Manager of the Latin America Automation Team and Delivery Project Executive for the Solution Development and Innovation Team, directing large teams and managing substantial portfolios. Naaliel holds a Ph.D. in Informatics Engineering with a specialization in Cybersecurity from Universidade de Coimbra and a B.Sc. in Computer Technology from the State University of Campinas (UNICAMP).
