Diego Avila

Diego Avila is a seasoned software engineering professional with extensive experience in low-latency network development and automated trading systems. Currently serving as a Software Engineering Team Lead at Optiver since November 2015, Diego has been instrumental in the creation of ultra-low latency networks and has previously led teams focused on automated trading systems. Prior to Optiver, Diego founded Hover, a startup dedicated to cross hardware/software application development, and worked as an R&D Software Engineer at Synopsys. Diego has also contributed to academia as a part-time lecturer at Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile, where lectures included subjects in electrical engineering and control theory. Diego's academic credentials include a Master's Degree in Microelectronics and an Engineer's Degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering, both from Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile.
