Sam Gibson is an experienced professional in the field of execution research, currently serving as the Head of Execution Research for North America at Optiver since January 2016, where responsibilities include optimizing low latency execution performance across all North American exchanges. Previously, Sam held the role of Head of Execution Research for the APAC region and worked in Japan Execution Research. Prior to joining Optiver, Sam gained valuable experience as a Software Engineer at The Active Network, followed by positions as a Lead Consultant at Socrata and Software Engineer at ThoughtWorks. Sam holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science from Washington State University, earned between 2001 and 2005.
