Kingsley Chen

Kingsley Chen has over twenty-five years of experience in the renewable energy industry. From 1997 to 2000, they worked as a Senior Project Engineer/Design Engineer at EcoEnergies/Photovoltaics International LLC. In 2000, they moved to EcoEnergies/REC Solar as a Project Engineer. In 2006, they worked as a Design Engineer at Green Lotus Construction. From 2007 to 2019, they worked at SunPower Corporation in various roles, including Business Process Analyst & UAV Fleet Coordinator, Utility Power Plant Regional Support Engineer, Applications Engineering, and Commercial Dealer Technical Support. From 2019 to 2021, they worked as a UAV Flight Operations & PV Specialist at UAV Flight Ops Contracting, Operations and Maintenance at Mainspring Energy, and Sr. Field Forensics Engineer at RETC (Renewable Energy Test Center). Currently, they are employed as a Reliability Engineer at Optivolt.

Kingsley Chen holds a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering from Western University, obtained in 1996. In 2021, they obtained an OSHA 30 certification from The University of Texas at Arlington. In 2016, they obtained an FAA Remote Operator small UAS certification from FAA Part 107 Certified Pilot.
