Nesrin Nelson

Nesrin (Balioglu) Nelson is currently a Staff Engineer at Optiwatt, where they continue to demonstrate their passion for software engineering. Prior to this role, Nesrin worked as a Lead Software Engineer at Target, where they developed and scaled RESTful APIs to enhance e-commerce capabilities. They also held positions as a Senior and Software Engineer at Target, contributing to various integrations and monitoring systems. Earlier in their career, Nesrin gained experience as a Software Engineer at SPS Commerce and completed internships at Medtronic, where they focused on software development and system maintenance. Nesrin earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science and a Bachelor of Applied Science in Information Technology Infrastructure from the University of Minnesota-Twin Cities.
