Bryan Bridges has a diverse range of work experience spanning over several years. Bryan began their career as an Infantry Rifleman in the United States Marine Corps, where they served as an Infantry Squad Leader and later as an Armory Custodian. After leaving the military, Bryan transitioned into civilian roles, starting with a position as a Research Assistant at UNC Charlotte, where they conducted biophysics research on the mechanics of Myosin proteins. Bryan then worked as a Physical Science Aid at the Naval Research Laboratory before gaining an Engineering Metrology Internship at Corning Optical Communications, where they supported Division Engineering by making measurements and running experiments. Bryan later joined Renishaw as a Field Application Engineer, with responsibilities that included assisting customers with code writing for new products and providing metrology support. Bryan then moved on to NorComp as a Product Design Engineer, overseeing product-related processes and quality control. Bryan's most recent position is with Opto-Alignment Technology, Inc., where they work as a Metrology Systems Engineer. In this role, they are involved in all stages of product development, from CAD design to assembly and calibration development, with a focus on motion control systems. Throughout their career, Bryan has consistently demonstrated their skills in engineering, metrology, product design, and research.
Bryan Bridges has a strong educational background in science and engineering. Bryan first attended the University of North Carolina at Charlotte from 2009 to 2013, where they earned a Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering as well as a Bachelor of Science in Physics. Bryan then continued their studies at the same institution and obtained a Master of Science in Mechanical Engineering, completing their degree in 2015.
