Optotune
Bernardo Castaldo is an accomplished R&D Product Development and Reliability Engineer at Optotune since October 2021, specializing in the design, development, and launch of new products with a focus on electronics, control, and firmware. Prior experience includes serving as a MEMS Reliability and Qualification Engineer at STMicroelectronics, where responsibilities encompassed product reliability qualification and technology transfers. As a Research Fellow at CERN, Bernardo conducted R&D on fiber-optic sensors for monitoring superconducting magnets and developed technical solutions in collaboration with various suppliers. Bernardo also has experience as a Technical Student at CERN, focusing on the calibration of Optical Fiber Bragg Grating sensors, and has worked as a Teaching Assistant at the Università degli Studi di Napoli Federico II. Bernardo holds a Laurea Magistrale LM in Material Engineering from the same institution.
