Andrew Bacon

Andrew Bacon has extensive experience in software engineering and IT security, currently serving as Director of Software Engineering at Optum since February 2013, following a progression of roles including Senior Manager and Manager of IT Security. Prior to this, Andrew worked at UnitedHealth Group from May 2004 to February 2013, where responsibilities included serving as a Subject Matter Expert for access provisioning and entitlement review systems, along with participation in regulatory and customer security audits. Earlier experience includes roles as an IT Security Consultant and IT Security Analyst. Andrew began his career at Wand Corporation in a Help Desk role. Andrew holds educational credentials from the University of Minnesota (1997-1999) and completed studies at Orono High School.
