Bertrand Lefebvre

Bertrand Lefebvre is a Principal Data Scientist specializing in natural language processing (NLP) at Optum, where they have been since 2018, and previously served as a Senior Data Scientist from 2016 to 2018, developing NLP solutions for medical note processing. They held a Research Associate position at Imperial College London from 2005 to 2008, focusing on collisionless plasma shock waves, and worked as a Research Scientist II at the University of New Hampshire from 2008 to 2012, investigating instabilities in plasmas. Before joining Optum, Bertrand was a Natural Language Understanding Engineer at Nuance Communications from 2013 to 2016, where they contributed to NLU for mobile virtual assistants. Currently, Bertrand is pursuing a PhD at Université d'Orléans and an MS at Université Pierre et Marie Curie (Paris VI).
