David McVeigh

David McVeigh is a Senior Director of Technology at Optum, where they have worked since 2020, and also serves as an Advisory Board Member at WiSAR Lab and Technology Gateway. Additionally, they are a member of the Employer Advisory Board in the Department of Computing at Ulster University. David has held various roles in technology and consulting since 1999, with previous positions including Director of Technology and Information Technology Infrastructure Lead at Optum and Abbott, respectively. They are currently pursuing a B.Sc. in Computing at the Institute of Technology, Sligo, alongside a Diploma in Management from the National College of Ireland and a certification as a Prince2 Project Management Practitioner. David earned an M.Sc. in Management of Operations from Dublin City University and has additional training from the Indian Institute of Management, Bangalore.
