Kevin Luo

Kevin Luo is an Associate Software Engineer at Optum, where employment commenced in July 2022 after participation in the Technology Development Program. Prior experience includes a Bioinformatics Internship at Stoke Therapeutics, where Kevin constructed dynamic visual dashboards for gene expression analysis and utilized tools like Snakemake and AWS to manage large-scale data. As a Research Analyst for the National Science Foundation, Kevin enhanced research in opioid abuse prevention through data visualization and collaborated in a team setting. Additionally, Kevin served as a Robotics Instructor at YMCA Malden, teaching coding and algorithms to middle school students, achieving notable competition results. Kevin holds a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science from the University of Massachusetts Amherst, earned in 2022.
