Mark Abrams

Mark Abrams is a highly experienced cardiac electrophysiologist currently serving as the Director at Optum since December 2023, while simultaneously holding positions as a cardiac electrophysiologist at CareMount Medical and Associate Director of Electrophysiology at Northern Westchester Hospital since July 2021. Mark's prior experience includes a fellowship in Cardiac Electrophysiology and a Cardiology Fellowship at New York-Presbyterian Hospital from June 2013 to July 2021, as well as a role as an Internal Medicine Resident. Mark founded and directed The READ-SG Program, aimed at reducing burnout and enhancing empathy among physician trainees, and served as Director of Patient Engagement at Heartbeat Health, Inc. from November 2017 to July 2019. Leadership roles also include serving as President of the American Heart Association Fellows Society of Greater NY. Mark holds an M.D. from Albert Einstein College of Medicine and a B.Sc. in Physiology from McGill University.
