Rajesh Kesarla serves as the Senior Vice President of Software Engineering and Chief Technology Officer at Optum, a role commenced in August 2021. Kesarla leads a global team of over 500 members, driving innovations in AI and data platforms to enhance patient and provider experiences within the healthcare digital ecosystem. Prior experience includes leadership roles at Amazon, where Kesarla headed the Product & Engineering team for the Discovery Metadata Platform, and previously at Flipkart as Director of Software Engineering, focusing on demand shaping systems. Kesarla's career began at Microsoft, contributing significantly to the Windows operating system and large-scale cloud services. Education includes a Master’s degree in Computer Science from the College of Engineering, Guindy.
