Shannon A. Gibson

Shannon A. Gibson is a seasoned software engineering professional with extensive experience in application development and project management. Currently serving as a Lead Software Engineer at Optum since August 2016, Shannon specializes in a devops model for a Data externalization platform utilizing a range of technologies including Kafka, Java, Python, Oracle, MySQL, REST APIs, Jenkins, GitHub, Kubernetes, Grafana, and Splunk. Previous roles include PeopleSoft Developer at Optum and Applications Developer at the Metropolitan Council. Shannon has also held various leadership positions at the University of Minnesota, managing teams and overseeing critical upgrades and implementations within PeopleSoft Financials and related applications. Educational qualifications include a Bachelor of Music in Education from the University of Minnesota, along with various academic experiences across multiple institutions.
