Sudha Kumar, MD, MPH, FAPA, is a seasoned medical professional with extensive experience in behavioral health leadership. Currently serving as Senior Behavioral Medical Director at Optum since March 2022, Sudha previously held the position of Medical Director at New Directions Behavioral Health (now Lucet) and served as Behavioral Health Medical Director at Anthem Blue Cross and Blue Shield. Sudha's background includes roles at Humana as both Behavioral Health Medical Director for Government Business and Lead Medical Director of Behavioral Health, alongside experience in integrated medical behavioral health policy development, psychotherapy, and psychiatric evaluations in various settings.
