Nuwan Tharanga

Nuwan Tharanga has a diverse work experience spanning over a decade. Nuwan'smost recent role was as a Senior Lead - Business/Quality Analyst at OpusXenta, where they worked closely with internal and external stakeholders to understand their needs and lead the development process. Nuwan also collaborated with the Product Management Team to identify the business context of requirements and ensure accurate alignment during implementation. Nuwan managed the product backlog and prioritized them based on changing requirements, as well as oversaw all stages of product creation. Prior to that, Nuwan worked as a Senior Business Analyst at Intervest Software Technologies (Private) Limited, where they established relationships with stakeholders and analyzed and consolidated information to develop business cases. Nuwan also worked as a Business Analyst at Sanje Lanka, where they communicated and collaborated with customers to analyze information needs and elicit requirements. Additionally, Nuwan has experience as an IT Executive - MIS at Link International (south sudan) Ltd, where they recommended and implemented system and technology solutions, troubleshooted systems, and developed and maintained a comprehensive database and Management Information System. Nuwan started their career as a Web Developer at Hemas Manufacturing (pvt) Ltd, where they created and maintained site pages, coordinated top-level people for major site changes, and maintained internal tools using Joomla.

Nuwan Tharanga attended K/ Pilawala Maha Vidyalaya from 1991 to 2004, where they completed their high school education. In 2006, they enrolled at Rajarata University of Sri Lanka and obtained a Bachelor's Degree in Business Information Technology, specializing in a special field.

In addition to their formal education, Nuwan Tharanga has also obtained several certifications. Nuwan completed a Crash Course in Data Science, Six Sigma Principles, The Art of Negotiation, High-Impact Business Writing, Initiating and Planning Projects, and Managing Project Risks and Changes from Coursera in 2020 and 2021. Nuwan also received the MCPS: Microsoft Certified Professional - Managing Projects with Microsoft Project 2013 certification from Microsoft in 2016. Furthermore, they hold the Certified Document Imaging Architect (CDIA+) certification from CompTIA (obtained in 2014), the Certified Scrum Product Owner® (CSPO®) certification from Scrum Alliance (obtained in 2022), and the Certified Information Professional (CIP) certification from AIIM International (obtained in 2015).
