Will Bates

Will Bates has a varied work experience in different industries. Will currently holds the position of Head of Sales at Opvia since April 2022. Prior to this, they worked as an Account Executive at Opvia from 2021 to April 2022. Before joining Opvia, Will worked as a Senior Associate at AlphaSights from 2019 to 2021. Will also gained experience as a Data Science Intern at WPP in 2018. In 2017, Will had a summer internship at Barclays, where they worked in a sales research role and performed various tasks related to financial products, market updates, and market research projects. Will also had temporary roles at PwC and Rathbones Charity Investment Management in 2016, where they participated in their summer talent academy and had work experience in investment management. Additionally, they had a spring analyst role at Barclays in 2016, where they gained insights into the various divisions within the bank. Will's earliest work experience was as a summer retail assistant at The Co-Operative Food in 2015, where they learned how to work effectively in a busy environment with customer interactions.

Will Bates attended The University of Edinburgh from 2014 to 2018, where they obtained a Master of Arts (MA) degree in Economics.
