Bala Chandran

Bala Chandran is an experienced technology executive with a focus on software development and artificial intelligence. At Oracle, from March 2020 to July 2022, Bala served as Senior Vice President, leading the creation of a new cloud-native, intelligent healthcare platform, and previously held the role of VP of Software for Security Products, where efforts were centered on building a highly secure cloud infrastructure. Prior experience includes a tenure at Amazon as Director of Software Engineering, focusing on big data, machine learning, and distributed systems for global supply chain operations, and at MicroStrategy as SVP Engineering and Chief Product Owner, overseeing diverse engineering and product teams. Earlier career roles included significant contributions at SAP and IBM in database technology and large-scale analytics solutions. Bala holds a B. Tech in Mechanical Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology, Madras, and a Master of Science from Penn State University.
