Chakku Gopalan

Chakku Gopalan is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in hardware development and memory technology integration. Currently serving as the Director of Hardware Development at Oracle since November 2022, Chakku leads a global Strategic Silicon Sourcing Engineering team overseeing the entire product life cycle of various server hardware components. Prior to this role, Chakku was a Senior Engineering Manager at Micron Technology, focusing on advanced memory solutions, and previously held engineering positions at Intel Corporation and Adesto Technologies, where contributions included significant advancements in memory component development and technology partnerships. Chakku's career began at Arizona State University as a Research Associate, where innovative work on solid-state electrochemistry and CBRAM technology was conducted. Chakku holds a PhD in Electrical Engineering from Arizona State University and a Bachelor’s degree in Electronics and Communication Engineering from Madurai Kamaraj University.
