Hugo Monteiro

Hugo Monteiro is a seasoned data scientist with extensive experience in relational databases and object-oriented programming. Currently serving as a Senior Principal Data Scientist at Oracle since February 2019, Hugo has previously held roles at Experian, including Principal Data Scientist and Senior Scientist, where skills in databases and OOP were further developed. Prior experience includes roles as Data Scientist and Software Engineer at Ocado Technology, where Java, Python, and SQL were utilized to create low latency systems, and a PhD in Artificial Intelligence and Robotics from the University of Edinburgh. Additionally, Hugo worked as a Trainee Data Systems Engineer at the European Space Agency, contributing to simulator and mission control system software.
