Sean McCarthy

Sean McCarthy is a seasoned executive with extensive experience in technology and product strategy, currently serving as Vice President at Oracle since October 2020. In this role, McCarthy leads a large team to implement Oracle's innovative technologies in AI and security for local governments worldwide. Previously, as Senior Vice President of Product Strategy at CentralSquare Technologies, McCarthy advanced the company’s shift to a Cloud-based SaaS model and collaborated with private equity firms on investment strategies. McCarthy also served as General Manager at VIEVU, where significant growth was achieved in the police body camera market, and as Vice President at Safariland, overseeing new ventures that led to a multi-million dollar integrated business. Earlier career experience includes a role as Director of Product Management at Backcountry.com. McCarthy holds an MBA from Stanford University Graduate School of Business and a BA in Philosophy, Politics, and Economics from Claremont McKenna College.
