Sumit Kumar

Sumit Kumar is a seasoned software engineer currently serving as a Principal Member of Technical Staff in the DBaaS team at Oracle Cloud Infrastructure since July 2024. Prior to this role, Sumit was a Staff Software Engineer and Tech Lead at Appsmith from October 2020 to June 2024, where significant contributions included architecting and building core features of the Appsmith platform. Earlier experience includes positions as a Senior Software Engineer at Juniper Networks from August 2016 to October 2020 and Software Engineer 3 at the Indian Institute of Technology, Kanpur, where Sumit completed an M.Tech and B.Tech in Computer Science (2011-2016). Additionally, a brief internship at FireEye, Inc. took place in May to July 2014.
