Thang Doan

Thang Doan is a Principal Applied Scientist at Oracle, specializing in Multimodal GenAI, since August 2025. Prior experience includes serving as a Staff Applied Research Scientist at Snorkel AI, where projects centered on Large Language Models (LLM), including the development of synthetic data generation pipelines and optimization of prompt instructions. At Bosch Research, Thang held the position of Research Scientist II, focusing on Vision-Language Models and contributions to open-world problems, as well as out-of-distribution detection techniques. During a tenure as a Postdoctoral Researcher at Mila - Quebec Artificial Intelligence Institute, Thang worked on lifelong learning and reinforcement learning, contributing to various acclaimed publications. Thang holds a PhD in Operation Management from McGill University, a Master's degree in Mathematical Modelling from UCL, and a French Engineering Degree in Mechanical Engineering.
