Vasudev Lal

Vasudev Lal is an accomplished professional in the field of artificial intelligence and electrical engineering, currently serving as the Director of Applied Science for Multimodal GenAI at Oracle/OCI since July 2025. Prior to this role, Vasudev held various positions at Intel Labs from June 2020 to July 2025, including Principal AI Research Scientist and Technical Lead for Cognitive AI. Vasudev's career at Intel Corporation spanned from February 2013 to June 2020, with roles as a Data Scientist and RET Design Engineer. Academic qualifications include a PhD in Electrical Engineering from the University of Michigan, completed in December 2012, and a Bachelor of Engineering in Electrical Engineering from Netaji Subhas Institute of Technology, obtained in December 2007.
