Cian Ó Maidín

Cian Ó Maidín is an accomplished entrepreneur with extensive experience in the tech industry. As the Founder and President, as well as CEO of NearForm since January 2012, Cian is responsible for promoting the company, guiding strategy, and nurturing talent. Cian also serves as Co-Founder of Orama since March 2023, taking on roles as an Investor, Advisor, and Instigator. Previously, Cian curated NodeConf.eu from February 2013 to March 2021 and led the NodeDublin initiative from July 2012 to March 2021, successfully organizing significant conferences on Node.js. Before these endeavors, Cian established and led Celsus, a mobile enterprise software company, directly after graduating with a Bachelor of Science in Computer Systems from the University of Limerick in 2001, securing a substantial SaaS licensing deal within a year.
