Dan Cooper

Dan Cooper is an accomplished Chief Architect at Oranga Tamariki—Ministry for Children, where responsibilities include establishing the ICT function and maturing cloud architecture practices since April 2017. Prior to this, in a secondment as Lead Enterprise Architect, Dan provided technology leadership for the Expert Advisory Panel which recommended the establishment of Oranga Tamariki. Experience further includes a Lead Enterprise Architect role at the Ministry of Social Development, and earlier positions at NZTA, the Accident Compensation Corporation, and Inland Revenue NZ, where Dan played key roles in enterprise architecture and transformation initiatives. Dan's career began at Unisys as a Consultant, focusing on telephony applications and systems. Education includes a BCMS in Artificial Intelligence from The University of Waikato.
