Rachel Berman is an accomplished dance educator and professional with extensive experience in various roles within the dance industry. Currently serving as the Dance Department Chair and a full-time Dance Instructor at Orange Coast College since August 2018, Rachel teaches multiple dance styles, including Modern, Ballet, and Hula. In addition, Rachel is a member of the faculty at the William J Gillespie/American Ballet Theatre School and directs Creative Intentions, a pop-up master class series launched in 2016. With a strong freelance career as a dance teacher and choreographer, Rachel has contributed to the Calpulli Mexican Dance Company as Grants Manager since 2014 and has written for prominent publications such as Dance Magazine and Dance Teacher. Previous positions include Artist in Residence at UNLV, Programs Manager at Dance/NYC, Development Officer for the Paul Taylor Dance Company, and Company Manager for Company C Contemporary Ballet. Rachel holds an MFA in Dance from Hollins University and a BFA in Dance from Purchase College, SUNY, along with certifications from the American Ballet Theatre National Training Curriculum.
