Samantha O'Keeffe currently serves as a Payroll Specialist at the Orange County Comptroller since September 2023. Earlier in their career, Samantha held roles such as Administrative Assistant at World of Homes and Front Desk/Billing at Mark Cross and Company, Inc. Samantha holds a Bachelor of Applied Science in Business and Organizational Leadership from Valencia College, completed in 2023, and an Associate's degree in Business Administration and Management from the same institution, completed in 2020. Samantha is a graduate of Dr. Phillips High School, class of 2007.

The Comptroller is an elected official answering directly to the citizens of Orange County and serves as a check and balance for the public in the use of County resources. This results in heightened levels of transparency, the protection of public assets, and the greatest accounting integrity possible. Services performed by the County Comptroller can be classified into three broad categories: Financial, Audit, and Records Administration. The Comptroller’s specific roles include serving as chief financial officer, county auditor, Clerk of the Board of County Commissioners, recorder of official records, and custodian of county funds and records.
