Shelby Hackett is an experienced event manager currently working at the Orange County Convention Center since August 2022. Previously, Shelby held the position of Supervisor in Event Operations at Universal Orlando Resort from August 2015 to August 2022. Additional experience includes a Travel and Event Management Internship at USSSA in 2019, and an internship with the Orlando Solar Bears from August 2018 to April 2019. Early career roles include a lifeguard at Fantasy World Vacation Villas and a gymnastics coach at Flip and Twist. Shelby holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Music Business from Full Sail University and a Certificate in Hospitality and Tourism Management from Florida Atlantic University, in addition to an Entertainment Business degree focused on Sports Management from Full Sail University.

The award-winning Orange County Convention Center (OCCC), located in the heart of Orlando's Convention Center District and only fifteen minutes from the Orlando International Airport, provides a multitude of event options in two beautifully appointed buildings - the West Building and North-South Building. The OCCC attracts more than 200 events to the Central Florida region annually. As a result, an estimated 1.5 million attendees contribute approximately $3 billion to the local economy each year.
